What To Do In Sicily – Experiencing Sicily’s Finest

So now you’ve booked your airfare and hotel in Sicily, then you are going to want to spend the next one minute of your time reading this article.

In this article, we’ll look at three things that you must experience in Sicily.  Specifically, we’ll talk about the world-famous Sicilian cuisine, and we’ll talk about visiting two of the most famous destinations in Sicily — Taormina, and the Aeolian Islands. Ready? Let’s get started.

First, make sure you experience the world-famous Sicilian cuisine. This should be a no-brainer, as Sicilians (as well as all Italians) are known for their passion for authentic Italian delicacies. Food is a good reason to visit Sicily in and of itself, as each city and town has their own unique twists common Italian delicacies. If you want to know what to do in Sicily, make sure to put “experience the Sicilian cuisine” at the top of your list.

Next, you’re going to want to do a little traveling. You’re going to want to stop by the town of Taormina. This famous little town is literally built on the top of a hilltop. Besides being famous for the Taormina movie festival which is held here every summer, this town is also known for it’s winding steps, and narrow cobblestone streets. A cable car runs from this hilltop town to the beaches down below it.

After visiting Taormina, you’re going to want to stop by the Aeolian Islands. This group of islands are extremely popular in the summer, drawing around two hundred thousands tourists to their beaches every year. While you’re enjoying this island, make sure to stop by the island’s famous Fargo baths.
